Dexter is our eight year old Labrador retriever. When we brought him to Dr. Malnati in August 2009 he was walking with a pronounced limp. The doctor confirmed our veterinarian's opinion: Dexter had torn his ACL.

It all started with a slight limp in February which got progressively worse. So much so that by our North Carolina summer vacation, Dexter had to run around the woods on three legs. He was a trooper, though. Would never let a might sore leg get in his way of fun!

He had the surgery when we returned from vacation. The operation and recovery were pretty much a text book case. He recovered just as Dr. Malnati said he would and today he is running like an Olympian! No sign of any limp. Just a little scar to remind us of how wonderful Dr. Malnati and his staff are. True angels.

The one-on-one care at Dr. Malnati's office is phenomenal. The doctor explained in detail what Dexter's surgery entailed and I felt well informed and knew exactly what to expect. I truly felt like Dexter could not have been in better hands.

Today he is running like a two year old and looking forward to his NC trip again... this time on four legs!!!
